Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Maya handles drink logs, mood notes, images, spending data, exports, reminder preferences, premium feature states, and related product information inside the app.
1. Information Maya Collects
- Drink details you enter, such as name, brand, cup size, price, sweetness, temperature, caffeine estimate, and sugar estimate.
- Mood note text, local receipt exports, optional drink images you choose to add, and app preference settings.
- Local premium unlock states, virtual coin balance, and purchase-related state needed to make the product work correctly.
2. How Maya Uses Information
Maya uses your data to show beverage records, build charts, render receipt-style diary pages, store preferences, present premium features, and support local exports. Maya is designed to use your information only for product functionality.
3. Local Storage First
Maya is built around local persistence. Your logs, selected images, settings, and exports are stored on your device unless a future cloud-related feature is explicitly provided and turned on by you. You remain in control of deleting local records and cached exports.
4. Tracking Transparency
Maya requests App Tracking Transparency authorization only after you complete the custom launch checkpoint and explicitly tap Continue. If you deny tracking, Maya should continue to work with an appropriately reduced advertising or campaign-measurement signal.
5. Purchases and Apple Services
In-app purchases are handled through Apple StoreKit. Maya may receive purchase status information from Apple to unlock coins or premium features, but billing credentials are processed by Apple and are not directly collected by Maya.
6. Sharing and Disclosure
Maya does not sell your personal journal content. Information may be disclosed only when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as necessary to operate the app through Apple platform services.
7. Retention and Deletion
- Your local records remain on your device until you remove them, uninstall the app, or clear cached exports.
- If you delete a drink record, associated stored image files used by that record may also be removed from local storage.
- Exported files remain on device until you delete them manually or use the in-app clear cache action.
8. Children and Sensitive Decisions
Maya is not intended to replace professional medical guidance and is not designed to process highly sensitive health decisions. If you are under the age required by your local law to use digital services independently, use Maya only with appropriate consent.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy when Maya evolves. The updated version will apply when published in the app or in the current product materials.
